A self-paced course for autistic adults who want to understand the, selves more fully and find their own way forwards.
Pay in full - £149 or 3 monthly payments of £55
A diagnosis can feel like being handed a key, then left in front of a door you're not sure how to open. You finally have a word for how you've always experienced the world and then, often, silence. Now what?
That's the gap this course fills. Across six modules, we work through the things that keep people stuck so you can stop fighting your own brain and start working with it.
For new and recently diagnosed autistic adults and anyone who's known for a while but never been handed a map.
Pause, rewind and return whenever it suits you
No live calls, no timetable, no pressure
Your straight away and yours for good
Six sections, each broken into short, manageable lessons
Most people arrive here having spent years being told what's "wrong" with them. In this section, we look at what autism actually is and move away from the old deficit story and start building a fuller understanding of yourself - one that makes room for both strengths and challenges.
Misunderstandings between autistic people and non-autistic people rarely come from one side getting it wrong. They come from two different ways of experiencing the world. Here we explore how communication and connection work across neurotypes and how to build relationships that thrive.
This is the longest part of the course and for good reason. Executive function skills have a significant impact on daily life - including things like getting started on things, staying organised, holding a plan in mind and managing time and emotions. In this section, we consider each of the skills in turn, look at why things can feel so effortful and find pracical ways to manage challenges.
For many autistic people, the sensory world is turned up far louder than others realise. This section helps you make sense of your own sensory profile, understand why certain environments or things feel overwehlming and what you can do to help you feel steadier day-to-day.
In this section, we talk about the things that can wear people down and look at practical, sustainable ways of looking after your emotional and mental health.
Telling others you're autistic is rarely a simple decision. Whether it's at work, with friends or within the family, this section helps you think through when, how and whether to share so that any choice you make is one you feel settled and confident about.
A note on what this course is and isn't.
Empowered Living is an educational and self-development course. It offers general information and practical strategies but it isn't a substitute for individual psychological support or medical assistance. Enrolling does not create a therapeutic or clinical relationship. If you're seeking a diagnosis or personalised support, please speak to a suitably qualified professional. If you're struggling with your mental health, please contact your GP or a relevant support service.
